Step into Scene75 in Dayton, Ohio, and your kids will think they’ve gone to heaven. This entertainment center is huge. Biggest in the country, in fact. When you walk in, you see tons of arcade games and the Center Bar – a great location to hang out while the kids go nuts. Or you can get in on the action with the multi-level laser tag arena, which is truly fantastic in design and decor. We all played and had a blast.
Make your way through the games and you get to the Chaos Room. The first gaming theater in the country, the Chaos Room combines twelve 15-foot HD screens, plush theater seating, and high performance audio to create an immersive 360-degree gaming environment. Depending on which game you choose from their library of Wii, Xbox, and PS3 titles, up to 16 people can play against each other at a time. I thought my teenager might never leave that room, but there’s so much more to do, he couldn’t help but explore.
Next you can try go-karts or the 4D motion theater rides. My kids love those 4D rides, but they make me a bit nauseous. I watched them on a screen, which was really hysterical because I couldn’t see the movie they were reacting to.
There’s still more. Go for a bounce in the Big Bad Bounce arena which features 20,000 square feet of inflatables, crawl and weave your way through the lazer frenzy, play blacklight mini golf (Route 66-themed – I loved that!), or try their unique spin-zone bumper cars or mini-bowling.
Not just for kids, Scene75 is a great place for corporate events, parties, sport teams, reunions, ladies night out, and more. There’s also outdoor fun in the summer with their sand volleyball and bocce ball courts.
Scene75 is insanely fun. But if huge, noisy gaming centers with tons of flashing lights are not your scene, the Scene75 Bar & Grill is your oasis. It’s still a bit noisy, but you can relax at a cozy table and enjoy fantastic food and drink. I highly recommend a bowl of chili with your choice of beer. Just beware that your kids will soon be running in out of breath, hair matted with sweat and eyes wide with adrenaline, begging you to load more money on their game cards.
