With the major success of Disney’s animated feature Frozen and the long lines at Anna and Elsa meet and greets in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Park it is apparent that Frozen fans want more.
Their wish has been answered in the form of a new ride in Norway Pavilion in Epcot. Instead of expanding this area to include a new ride for Frozen Disney will be getting rid of the existing ride Maelstrom and turning it into a Frozen attraction.

Sadly, Maelstrom’s last voyage will be on October 5, 2014.

The Frozen ride will take guests to Arendelle where they can relive their favorite parts from the film. In addition to the ride guests can also meet Anna and Elsa in a royal pavilion.

Frozen will also have more of a presence during this holiday season at the Magic Kingdom. Cinderella Castle will be transformed into an ice palace by Queen Elsa’s powers. Frozen characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf will also appear in “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.”

What do you think about these changes to the Maelstrom attraction? Are you excited or mad about this development?
