A couple weeks ago, my husband and I spent a night, Grand Opening night, at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. I was thrilled to be a part of this special night. The resort staff made us feel very comfortable and right at home. It was also exciting to know that we were the first guests to stay in our beautiful hotel room. It was absolutely dreamy.
The view from our room was stunning. We had a spectacular balcony view which looked out over the pool area (adults-only pool and family pool), and the lazy river. We could also watch the fireworks light up the sky across the way from the Magic Kingdom. Pretty awesome.
Reflecting the Spanish Revival architecture, this lakeside resort offers 443 spacious guest rooms, including 68 suites. Our room was on the 8th floor and upon entering it literally took my breath away. The decor was bright and inviting and the contemporary white furnishings in the room mixed with orange and teal. Our king size bed was lovely and perfect for a great night’s sleep.
The deluxe bathroom was the most spacious and prettiest bathroom I have ever encountered in a resort. The marble mosaic bathroom had a deep soaking tub, a separate oversized glass shower, an in-mirror television and two plush bathrobes. I also couldn’t help but notice the oversized, fluffy towels in our room. That alone won me over.
There are four restaurants where you may dine, two of which were open and two more that are opening in September.
Ravello serves modern Italian cuisine and they are located on the first floor serving breakfast and dinner. Reservations are recommended.
PB&G serves southern smokehouse and rotisserie cuisine poolside. There is plenty of outdoor seating and the attire is casual.
Capa, the resort’s 17th-floor rooftop steakhouse boasts a Spanish influenced cuisine. There is an open kitchen and wood-burning grill and the outdoor patio diners can enjoy views of the nightly fireworks. Opening September 2014.
Plancha offers a picturesque lakeside setting where you can enjoy boldly flavored Cuban-American cuisine. Opening September 2014 in the Golf Clubhouse. There are several places to relax and cool off at any time of day. The Oasis, the resorts adult-only pool, overlooks the lake and is 92 feet long and is equipped with underwater audio. After a swim, relax in the jacuzzi near the pool.
The Family Pool overlooks the lake and offers a gradually sloping “beach entry” perfect for young swimmers. You may also listen to your favorite tunes on the underwater audio system.
Drifters is a lazy river outfitted with two spray cannons, a cascading 9-foot waterfall and a bubbling rapids section. The lazy river snakes its way around The Mansion and offers great fun for both kids and adults.
Splash Zone is an interactive fountain that launches blasts of water 30 feet into the air. Really fun for young children.
The Drop is the resorts 242-foot water slide. This enclosed slide is made from see-through fiberglass so you can watch all the fun.
Spa at Four Seasons is where you’ll find complete relaxation that includes your choice of beauty treatments. You can relax before or after your therapy in a shower complete with ice exfoliant or detoxify in the steam room. You may also step outdoors to a men’s or women’s private patio to decompress in a whirlpool bath and then cool down in the experience shower.
For services and amenities there is something for you day and night.
