Where to Stay in Pittsburgh, State College and Bethlehem, Penn.

By Karon Warren

pittsburghAs three of Pennsylvania’s most popular destinations, Pittsburgh, State College and Bethlehem draw in many visitors every year for both business and leisure travel. Not surprisingly, these cities are ready and waiting with a number of quality hotels that make any visit to these locales a memorable one.

Pursue Business, Then Pleasure

When traveling to Pittsburgh for work, guests will find everything they need at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport. As soon as the plane lands, guests can hop on the hotel’s moving walkway, which takes them straight to the hotel for check-in. Once at the hotel, they’ll have access to complimentary wireless internet, a 24-hour business center, and a spacious work station in each guest room.

When it’s time for a break, guests can relax at the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room. They can grab a meal at the on-site restaurant or opt for room service in the comfort of their room. When it’s time to call it a day, they can slip off to sleep in their Hyatt Grand Bed.

Cheer on the Team

Visitors to State College who want to cheer on the Penn State Nittany Lions will feel right at home at The Nittany Lion Inn. No matter which one of the inn’s 223 rooms guests select they’ll love the cozy feel, the comfortable furnishings, and the top-notch amenities like free Wi-Fi, a Keurig coffee maker, and a flat-screen TV. Guests also can take advantage of the hotel’s two dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to stroll through the inn’s beautifully landscaped grounds.

Make Your Own History

Located in downtown Bethlehem, Hotel Bethlehem A Historic Hotel of America welcomes visitors to stay and make their own memories at this historic property. The hotel has 128 finely appointed guest rooms coupled with views of the town’s National Historic Landmark District, Main Street, Moravian College, Lehigh University, and the Bethlehem star on South Mountain.

All rooms also include free Wi-Fi, Keurig coffee makers, and 24-hour room service. In addition, guests of the hotel can enjoy on-site dining, a full-service business center, and a fitness center. Of special note, this property shares its history throughout the lower lobby, so be sure to explore this area for an in-depth look into the hotel’s many years of existence.

Try Your Luck

Located on the site of the 126-acre former Bethlehem Steel plant, the largest privately owned brownfield redevelopment site in the United States, the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem invites visitors to kick back and relax with a wealth of amenities. These include guest rooms that offer free wireless high-speed internet access, pillow-top beds, flat-screen HDTVs, single-cup coffee brewers, and in-room safes.

Guests also can enjoy the indoor swimming pool, the fitness center, the spa and salon, and the many on-site dining options. Of course, guests can also try their luck in the casino, thanks to a number of table games, slots, and a poker room. Who knows? You may hit it big!
