This morning I wake to the sound of heavy footsteps outside my bedroom door and I am reminded, once again, that I am not in the comfort of my own home, in my own bed. Not even close. I’ve traveled to a foreign land, one that I am beginning to know so well. I’m a traveling guy, and this trip takes me to the Middle East, where camels roam freely and there is not a tree in sight, just miles and miles of hot desert. My adventure this trip? Saudi Arabia.
Come along, join me on my journey.

This is the main highway leading from the west up and into
capital city Riyadh. A breathtaking view.

This very cool building is the King’s Tower in downtown Riyadh, capital city.

This group picture taken at the Qurayyah plant near Dammam, is good testament
to how nationally diverse the GE work force is with Mexico, Palestine,
Philippines, Nigeria, Scotland, Saudi, United States,
and the Dominican Republic.

Hanging out with one of the local Saudi’s showing off his local garb, at Qurayyah near Dammam.

Saudi Arabia is 99% desert and there was fun to be had in riding the 4 wheelers on these awesome dunes near Al Khobar.

Me and my colleagues eating a traditional middle eastern meal at a fantastic restaurant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Join me again next week for Part II of my Adventures in Saudi with This Guy Travels.
