Do you happen to be shopping for a decent-sized SUV? Maybe you aren’t looking for anything too big, yet something that will carry all your necessities when needed? I recently had the opportunity to test drive the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander SE and was very excited to find that the Outlander has everything you could want in a compact crossover.
I must say that the 2015 Outlander is easy on the eyes and has a sleek, aerodynamic design. The exterior offers a modern design compared to other crossovers in its class. The striking Cosmic Blue color is very attractive and I was eager to take it for a spin.
The 2015 Outlander holds up to 7 passengers. The second row offers plenty of leg room as does the front area, however the third row is quite compact and I would recommend a child for seating in the back. I kept the third row down for the week and once down, the cargo area offers a great amount of space for your belongings.
Let’s talk about safety features. I’m happy to know that Mitsubishi is on top of safety and has earned IIHS “Top Safety Pick+” Award for two years straight. That’s a good feeling for this mom.
Some safety features to mention:
- Side mounted LED turn indicators
- Active Stability Control (ASC) and Traction Control Logic (TCL) keep car going in intended direction regardless of road conditions
- 7 airbags including driver’s knee impact airbag
- RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) Construction deflects and transfers crash energy away from occupants
The Smart Choice:
The Mitsubishi Outlander comes in three trim levels: ES, SE, and GT, starting at $22,995. My ride, the SE, was priced at $25,045.
The perfect car for environmentally-conscious, active individuals or families requiring a comfortable, well-equipped, and I must say sophisticated crossover that provides the latest in advanced safety technologies, ecology and comfort. That’s the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander.
