“Frozen Fun” at Disneyland Opens January 7, 2015

By Dawn Cullo

Disneyland Resort is finally feeling the Frozen love. Starting January 7th Disneyland Resort will be home to “Frozen Fun” but this awesome event will only be available for a limited time.  All events will take place in Disney California Adventure in Hollywood Land.

Frozen Fun

Here is what you can experience during “Frozen Fun.”

“Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome” is the place to be if you want to meet Anna and Elsa. The famous sisters of Arendelle will be moving from Fantasyland in Disneyland over to the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land. The Sisters will be located inside the Animation Courtyard surrounded by the sights and sounds of Frozen.

If you want to meet the famous sisters you will need to secure a Return Time Ticket. These tickets are only available for a limited time each day so you will need to arrive at Disney California Adventure Park at opening to get the tickets for your entire group.

Who wants to draw a snowman? While at the Disney Animation Building you can attend Animation Academy  and learn to draw Olaf.

At the “Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party” your family can spend the evening in Hollywood Land for the coolest family-friendly dance party. During the night you can enjoy fun light effects, games, photo opportunities, yummy snacks and drinks.  Your family can also enjoy fun interactive events and an ice sculptor.

“Olaf’s Snow Fest” will take place at Stage 17 in Hollywood Land. The area will be transformed into the Arendelle castle courtyard. Here your family can play in a winter wonderland with real snow and a snow glide the kids can slide down.

There will also be musical performances by The Frolicking Fjords and an appearance by the traveling duo The Tubadors. Of course Olaf will also be available for photos and warm hugs.

Olaf - Frozen FunBe sure to visit “Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post” to pick up all the Frozen inspired merchandise on your families’ list.

“For the First Time in Forever – A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” will take place in the Muppet*Vision 3D Theater located in Hollywood Land. The theater has been transformed into the Crown Jewel Theatre from Arendelle. The sing-along includes appearances by Ardendelle historians who will retell the history of their kingdom as well as special appearances from Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. A Return Time Pass will also be available for the “First time in Forever” sing-along.

Will you be headed to Disneyland Resort in January to experience “Frozen Fun?” I know I will.
