Don’t Miss the Fun of Bugs Land at Disney California Adventure Park

By Dawn Cullo

Disney California Adventure Park has a lot of fun rides for the whole family. However, the one place that my four year old loves to visit is “a bugs land” because she can go on every ride.

The land is based on the Disney-Pixar movie A Bug’s Life.  It is a fun place to visit with the preschooler in your family because the rides are sized just right for them.

A Bugs Life

Some people may even have walked by this area of the park not knowing how much fun it can be. “a bug’s land” is located between Hollywood Land and Cars Land.

Keep an eye out for the Cowboy Crunchies cereal box located off the main path and walk through it to be transformed into a bug. You can also access “a bug’s land” from the back of Hollywood Land near The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and from Cars Land just past Luigi’s Flying Tires.

Once inside the land you will feel like you are a bug because all of the decor in the park is made to make you like you are as small as a bug.

There are a lot of fun attractions here such as:

  • It’s Tough to be a Bug!
  • Flik’s Flyers
  • Tuck & Roll’s Drive ‘Em Buggies (rider/drivers be at least 36 inches tall)
  • Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train
  • Francis’ Ladybug Boogie
  • Princess Dot’s Puddle Park

Your kids will love to go on a ride with Heimlich on his Chew Chew Train for a tour of his favorite foods including carrots and candy corn.

Jump on board of Flik’s invention take a spin around Bugs Land.  Flik’s Flyers is a great ride for that little thrill seeker in your family.

Tuck & Roll’s Drive ‘Em Buggies is located inside P.T. Flea’s circus tent.  Your kids will have fun driving their own pill bug “buggie” around in circles and bumping into other drivers.

Princess Dot’s Puddle Park is the perfect place to take a break from the heat and cool down. Your little ones will love splashing around in the spray park. Don’t forget to check out the 4D show “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” where you will learn what it is like to be a bug.

We always have fun when we visit “a bug’s land” and our family’s favorite ride is Flik’s Flyers. Have you taken the time to check out “a bug’s land” before? What is your family’s favorite ride?
