Disney’s PhotoPass Tips

By Dawn Cullo

If you are like me, you have many pictures of your family on vacation and you are not in many of the pictures because you are always the one taking pictures. Luckily, when you visit the Disney Parks you can take advantage of Disney PhotoPass™ Service.

This service is offered at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World parks. The magic starts with the Disney PhotoPass photographers. They are located at park entrances, some Character meet n’ greets and popular spots around the parks such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty’s Castles.
Disney PhotoPass™ photographers will take a picture of you and your family together with their camera but you can also ask them to take a picture with your camera as well.

Here’s How It Works

When you spot a Disney PhotoPass photographer ask them for a PhotoPass™ card. The cards are free of charge and you can use it again with any PhotoPass photographer. The images will be added to an online photo account. There are instructions on the back of the PhotoPass Card about how to login to see your photos.

Your Annual Pass card or Magic Band can also be scanned by the Disney PhotoPass photographer and your photos will be added to your online photo account.

Accessing Photos

Once you get home grab your PhotoPass card and visit the URL listed on the back. Once you have created an account enter your code(s) to populate the images to your account. Your images and a Disney Photo Gallery will be available for you to order prints from. Just remember that your photos will expire 30 days from the claim date. That is the reason why I suggest waiting until you get home to view the online photos.

You will notice that there are a lot of things you can do within the online account. You can order all of your photos on a CD or instantly download them to your computer. You can also make photo gifts and add frames to you images as well.

Why Use This Service?

The Disney PhotoPass photographers will be able to capture all of those special Disney moments with you in the photo. Not only do they capture the entire family in the photo but they also use professional photography equipment. The Disney PhotoPass photographers are currently using Nikon cameras and you can be assured the photographers products images that are crisp and are high-resolution digital files.

Magic Shots

One of the aspects that I like when using this service is the Magic Shots. The Disney PhotoPass photographer will set up the shot so that they can add a special Disney character after the image has been taken.

Capture The Magic

Another reason I like using the PhotoPass Photographers is because in addition to capturing the posed shot of your kids and their favorite Disney character but they also have the skills to capture the impromptu moments as well. These are the moments that I miss sometimes because my face is always buried behind my camera and I see it from my lens. You can relax and enjoy watching the Disney magic unfold and leave the photography to the Disney PhotoPass photographers.
