Disneyland Resort is Getting Merrier

By Dawn Cullo

Have you ever visited The Happiest Place on Earth! during the holidays? I have been a few times and it is really magical to see the Disneyland Resort decorated during the holidays.

Disneyland Resort Holiday Season Begins November 13, 2014 and runs through January 6, 2015.

Disneyland Park

Disneyland will be decked out for the holidays with a tall tree and holiday wreaths; Main Street, U.S.A. is beautiful during the holidays.

“A Christmas Fantasy” parade returns to Disneyland Park with an appearance by Santa Claus. He will also be visiting with guests at Big Thunder Ranch so be sure to stop by and tell him your holiday wishes.

The not to miss “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks show will be followed by a holiday snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., New Orleans Square and near “it’s a small world.”

Attractions receiving a seasonal holiday make over are Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world,” the Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion.

Santa will be also be visiting guests at Elias & Co. on Buena Vista Street, be sure to stop by and tell him your holiday wishes.

In addition to a tall Christmas tree and holiday wreaths on Buena Vista Street there will be holiday decorations in Cars Land, “a bugs land”, and Paradise Pier.

Returning this year at Disney California Adventure Park is “World of Color – Winter Dreams” hosted by Olaf from “Frozen” and will feature scenes from “Bambi,” “Fantasia,” “Toy Story” and of course “Frozen”

Also returning at Disney California Adventure Park is “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” a holiday celebration at Paradise Gardens. “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” is inspired by joyous spirit of Latino culture and holiday traditions which includes dancing, delicious food as well as Disney character appearances.

Downtown Disney District

While shopping for the perfect gift in Downtown Disney District take a break at “Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink” this year.

There is so much to see and do during the holidays at Disneyland Resort.  You must visit it with your family; I bet you will have a magical time.

There will be expanded Disneyland Resort hours as well so be sure to check the park hours before you arrive. For more information visit www.disneyland.com/holidays
