Fall is in the air and it’s time to start thinking about pumpkins, raking leaves and what your kids will be for Halloween. If you’re planning a Disney vacation this fall, you won’t want to miss the spooktacular events taking place at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, as well as onboard select Disney cruises.
If you are heading to Disney World this fall, you will definitely want to put on your Halloween costume and head to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).

This special ticketed event is held at the Magic Kingdom on select nights from September 10 through November 1. The kids (and you) can dress up as your favorite characters (Disney or not) and trick-or-treat around the park.
The park is transformed with Halloween decorations (that aren’t too spooky for even the littlest Disney guests), and many of your favorite Disney characters are dressed in Halloween costumes too.

The party includes a dance number performed by some of your favorite Disney villains in front of Cinderella Castle, all lit up in spooky colors just for the holiday.
Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” parade, led by the Headless Horsemen, features Disney characters in their Halloween costumes, and also stars The Haunted Mansion.
Disney’s regular “Wishes” fireworks show is spook-ifed for Halloween as well. The Happy HalloWishes show lights up the sky over Cinderella’s Castle, with Disney villains singing their favorite tunes.
The Magic Kingdom closes early (7 PM) for this special event, and requires a separate ticket for admission.
Disneyland in California offers a similar event, “Mickey’s Halloween Party,” which also includes a Monsters U Dance Party and “spook-off.”
Disney Cruise Line gets spooky with special cruises for Halloween. The Disney Magic, Wonder and Fantasy, all have tricks and treats to help you celebrate Halloween. On these cruises, ships are decorated for Halloween and hold costume parades for kids and adults, as well as trick-or-treating and a Halloween movie marathon.
