I am so excited to share with you the upcoming movies from Walt Disney Studios in 2015. From animation to uplifting, to Strange Magic and Star Wars, 2015 is going to be an awesome year for movie lovers and for Walt Disney Pictures.
Here is a complete list of all upcoming films to be released in 2015 by Walt Disney Pictures.
January 23, 2015 – Strange Magic (Touchstone Pictures / Lucasfilm) an animated comedy-adventure, executive produced by George Lucas. A fairy-tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
February 20, 2015 – McFarland, USA (Walt Disney Studios) a drama starring Kevin Costner. Based on the 1987 true story about a high school cross-country team in California coached by Jim White.
March 13, 2015 – Cinderella (Walt Disney Studios) a film inspired by the classic fairy-tale “Cinderella” based on the 1950 animated musical fantasy Walt Disney classic.
April 17, 2015 – Monkey Kingdom (Disneynature) A True Life Adventure set amongst the ancient ruins throughout the jungles of South Asia. The story follows Maya and her family of monkeys.
May 1, 2015 – Avengers: Age of Ultron (Marvel) an action-adventure movie including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
May 22, 2015 – Tomorrowland (Walt Disney Studios) a mystery-adventure starring Academy Award winner, George Clooney. A scientist and an optimistic teen embark on a mission to reveal secrets of a place somewhere in time.
June 19, 2015 – Inside Out (Disney / Pixar) an animation film from Pixar Animation Studios that explores emotions we encounter inside of our heads, starring Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith.
July 17, 2015 – Ant–Man (Marvel) an action-adventure film starring Paul Rudd. Based on the Marvel comic character first published in 1962.
October 9, 2015 – The Jungle Book (Walt Disney Studios) a live action-adventure, this movie is based on Rudyard Kipling’s classical stories in 1967’s animated film, starring Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken, Idris Elba and Scarlett Johansson.
October 16, 2015 – The Untitled Steven Spielberg Cold War Spy Thriller (DreamWorks Pictures) a dramatic thriller starring Tom Hanks, Alan Alda, Billy Magnussen and Eve Hewson. A true story of James Donovan, an attorney who finds himself in the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on a mission.
November 25, 2015 – The Good Dinosaur (Disney / Pixar) an animated film from Pixar Animation Studios, a comical story about Arlo, an Apatosaurus with a very big heart.
December 18, 2015 – Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Lucasfilm) an action-adventure movie starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels. So excited that Star Wars is returning to the big screen!
